Average Value Calculator

An average value calculator is a converter that receives two analog signals and outputs a signal proportional to their average value. It is useful when monitoring status based on the average of two fluctuating signals.

For example, it can be used to measure the average temperature of a furnace for temperature control, or to calculate the average level of bulk materials using two level gauges.

When measuring and calculating the average furnace temperature, it helps reduce temperature inconsistencies within the furnace. Similarly, when measuring the level of bulk materials, averaging can reduce errors caused by uneven distribution in the tank.

While similar functionality can be achieved with our “adder” or “calculator” products, Watanabe Electric Industry offers a dedicated “average value calculator” model in response to customer requests.
