Rotary Encoder

A rotary encoder is a sensor used to measure rotational amount, rotational angle, and rotational position.
Some rotary encoders output A-phase and B-phase pulses with a 90-degree phase difference to indicate rotation direction; others also output a Z-phase pulse as a synchronous signal together with the two-phase pulses.
