Cold Junction Compensation

Cold junction compensation is used to reduce measurement errors caused by changes in the ambient temperature around the reference terminals when using thermocouple inputs.
If the reference terminals are not kept at 0°C but are instead exposed to an ambient temperature of T°C, the thermoelectric voltage corresponding to T°C is added by the internal amplifier for measurement.
