A rate limiter converter is a device that limits the rate of change of the output signal. It is used in situations where sudden increases or decreases, such as step responses, occur repeatedly, and it changes the output according to a specified time constant.
Although its function is similar to that of a first-order lag converter, in this case, the change occurs linearly rather than tracing a second-order curve.
