Corporate History

November, 1940 Ryuzo Watanabe the founder established the company in Meguro-ku, Tokyo  
May, 1946 Moved to the current location (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo)
June, 1948 Established Watanabe Electric Instruments Works Limited Partnership
July, 1951 Changed the company name to Watanabe Electric Industry Co. Ltd., and
Ryuzo Watanabe became the Representative Director & President
June, 1954 Passed the examination of the 1st Japanese Industrial Standard
accompanying its establishment by the Industrial Standardization Law.
Release the "Non-contact Meter Relay"
March, 1962 Received the Excellent Factory Award from the Governor of Tokyo
November, 1962 Received the Excellent Factory Award from the Director General for Small
and Medium Enterprise Agency
August, 1965 Expanded the headquarters factory. Increased capital funds to 18 million yen
